Day 35 – Zermatt, Switzerland

When planning my backpacking trip, I knew I wanted to go up snowboarding in the Swiss Alps, since that’s been a huge thing on my bucket list to do ever since I started snowboarding when I was 8-9! And I found that this resort in the small town of Zermatt was open 365 days a year, so at the very end of May, went there just to snowboard! Just happened to be an added bonus that the town was gorgeous and where the Matterhorn is, so ended up snowboarding next to it which was pretty cool! Such a fun day, hope you guys enjoy seeing me snowboard, the one sport I actually do and love lol.

  1. Hey Jade, I saw you on the “Most Subscribed YouTubers” episode on FBE and I had a question.

You made a comment about how there should be some more equality between the genders, which just didn’t make sense to me. It’s a list of the most subscribed YouTubers, so it’s kind of like a popularity list. The popularity of these channels doesn’t really have anything to do with the gender. If dude perfect was a group of women they’d be just as popular, because it’s all about the content you put out.

It reminded me of when YouTube tweeted out “Subscribe to black creators” instead of just advertising some black creators and letting people subscribe to channels they actually enjoy without basing it off of something as unimportant as the colour of their skin.

  2. Funny you didn't even realize your itinerary takes you right next to the Matterhorn – that must have been a nice surprise 🙂 Looks like you had fun, glad you enjoyed yourself, even with the steep prices 😛 Venice is a tough act to follow, but it should at least make for a nice contrast: From an ocean side city right into the heart of the alps in a landlocked country 🙂
